Supply Chain / Store Ordering

Our Supply Chain function is known as Store Ordering.

Simple as it sounds, every day, more than 11 million people visit our stores. And every day, they know they can pick up exactly what they want, when and where they want it.

Of course, that's all our customers ever need to know - that we the shelves are full of the things they want to buy. But the operation which makes it happen is one of the most sophisticated retail supply chains on the planet.

Our part in the changing Tesco

Putting the customer first is all about cutting the time from the depot to shop floor. We also need to ensure processes are in place to meet changes in demand, often driven by unpredictable events.

Get it right, and we'll have even more delighted customers.

However, while systems and procedures are definitely a big part of our success, the real secret of our store ordering is our people. Lots of them.

Our structure consists of:

  • Network Planning
  • Systems
  • Analysts
  • Projects
