"After leaving the police, I joined Tesco as an investigator. I knew it would be a fantastic opportunity for me to use my investigative background in a different environment. "In early 2005 I was promoted to Head of Corporate Investigations Team. A great reward for all my hard work. My role now includes dealing with external and internal criminal threats, disseminating intelligence reports across the business, protective security and global executive protection.
"What I really like about the role is its unpredictability. You never know what the next telephone call will bring. It requires dedication on a 24/7 basis. I have a small and highly skilled team around me dedicated to protecting the business and its assets from threats, and we're all extremely supportive and willing to help one another at a moments notice in order to get things done.
