Our Structure

We have specialist teams who span the breadth of Tesco's purchasing requirement. Here's a quick insight into what we get involved in.

We build the stores: Our Property team purchase all the materials and services we need to build and maintain Tesco shops and depots.

We supply the stores: Distribution looks after areas such as lorries, forklift trucks and temporary labour.

We support the stores: The Retail and IT team looks after requirements as diverse as IT, packaging, security, uniforms and cleaning services.

We support our staff: Head Office handles the things our people need to do their work, from cars and print services to staff benefits and professional services.

We develop new services for our customers: Our Revenue Generation department comes up with new services, from putting the National Lottery at tills, to children's rides and car washes. Recycling is handled here too.

We develop new tools for the business: Business Support looks at ways of making our buying process better, like E-Procurement.
