Job Specification:

We are currently presenting the opportunity for a Buying Manager to join our UK Clothing team.

As a Buying Manager, your role will be to create profitable customer driven ranges and promotions to deliver sales and margin targets. You will ensure your buying plan supports a group of products to support the delivery of the customer plan and promises of 'I can get what I want' and 'the prices are good'.

Your role and responsibilities are to:

Ensure the buying plan supports delivery of the customer plan

Hit sales and margin targets and then beat them

Have a great range which gives customers a reason to shop with us across all store formats Develop the supplier base to achieve competitive advantage

Negotiate product cost and rebates to continually drive down costs for our customers

Plan and negotiate market leading promotions

Use the exit process to optimise sell through and minimise exit costs

Always try to make things simpler for stores

Deliver against the critical path and coach my team to do so

Increase the department market share year on year

Work cross functional and outside own department

Stretch the strategy that requires business wide support

Candidate Specification:

The successful individual will have extensive buying experience within a multi site retail consumer business, along with a successful track record of buying clothing from direct sources.

You will have an understanding of country and global supply chain processes, fabric and garment construction and global sourcing.
