Becoming a manager in a Tesco Distribution Centre will put you right at the heart of our operation. You’ll be part of a management team, leading your colleagues from the front and doing what’s needed so that our customers have what they want, when they want it.
It’s a chance to put your skills, experience and instincts to the test: making sure our Distribution Centres operate in the most effective and efficient way, chasing opportunities, finding better, safer ways of working and getting things just right for our customers.
You’ll be a role model, helping your colleagues to deliver goods to stores accurately, improving availability and making sure everything is safe and compliant. Meanwhile, you’ll be getting everyone stuck in with community projects and proving just how much we can achieve together.
You’ll also get to grow your own team – by spotting talent, making sure your team is trained, and giving them the feedback and support they need to be their best.
This role is what management should be: leading your colleagues and making a difference for our customers.
You’ll be someone who can lead and inspire a team, while being ready to roll up your sleeves and do what’s needed to give our customers great service. You’ll need previous management experience and be able to meet targets, provide training and stick to our guidelines.

This is a hands-on job where things move fast. As a Manager you’ll have all eyes on you to make sure everyone is fired up, focused and pulling in the same direction. To help you flourish in such a fast-paced role we’ve got a well-defined way of working that you’ll be expected to master.
It’s a big commitment: you’ll need to work five days out of seven, with shifts to fit the Distribution Centre’s operation – including some Sundays and Bank Holidays.
