About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity within our Tech recruitment team for an individual looking to join a big brand and who has experience recruiting within the Product and Data space within Technology. As we continue to expand our Tech teams at a rapid rate we’re looking for a driven and creative recruitment professional to help facilitate this growth and attract the best talent to Tesco Tech. We are looking for a recruiter who is pro-active and has experience working within a high growth, technology focussed environment.

The Team

The recruitment team will play a significant role in the development and expansion of our international business. Through talent management, effective employer branding and passive & active recruitment methods, the team will hire great talent in tight timescales across our Welwyn Garden City and Farringdon offices

You will be responsible for

  • Attract and hire great talent for Tesco Tech, with a particular focus on the Software Engineering and wider Tech space
  • Define and promote a positive Employer Brand through networking, Social Media, events and other means
  • Successfully deliver large scale recruitment activity projects in aggressive timeframes
  • Use social and professional media platforms to attract passive and active candidates, build talent pools and candidate pipelines to service future hiring needs of the business
  • Help define and implement candidate assessment frameworks to ensure we’re hiring are the right fit both technically and culturally
  • Build excellent relationships with our hiring manager community, to fully understand their requirements, keep them up to date on progress and provide a first class end to end service
  • Understand the benefits of having a diverse, multicultural business and be a representative of our diversity policies at all times

You will need

  • Strong expertise in the 360 recruitment delivery cycle, with the ability to influence and consult at all stages of the process
  • 3-5 years within technology recruitment, ideally covering roles in engineering and/or infosec
  • Excellent professional media skills and proficient in using platforms such as LinkedIn and Indeed to identify great talent
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, ensuring all stakeholders and hiring managers are kept well informed of project progress
  • Niche talent “mining” skills, the ability to use boolean and x-ray search strings to find prospective candidates in less than obvious places
  • Very comfortable using cloud based ATS systems and use the systems to deliver insight and analytics to the business
  • In house experience would be preferable, however a passionate recruiter within the agency environment who demonstrates pro-activity to move in house would also be considered
