About The People Transformation Team

The People Transformation at Tesco is about earning the trust of our people in a simple and helpful way. For our people to focus on giving customers a great experience of shopping at Tesco we must give them a great experience of working for Tesco.

This is an end-to-end transformation; starting with listening to our colleagues, designing a future- state operating model and deploying world class digital products, through to implementing the transformation to deliver a cultural change alongside strong business benefits.

We’re looking for Project & Programme Managers and Analysts to lead this high-profile change.

The Transformation will involve many aspects of change. Example work-streams include establishing the listening channels for the experience journeys our people live through while working at Tesco, designing the shared service operating model, digital product ownership for all People Systems, Change Management, Improving Data Privacy governance and process.

The work is high-profile and offers exposure to senior Directors within Tesco, combined with the opportunity to deliver significant benefits to the business. We are looking for candidates with the numerical skills and structured thinking required to understand root causes of issues, together with a passion to deliver change and drive improvements within the business.

You will be responsible for

- Being the key point of contact for providing analysis relating to payroll and people data errors to be used by key stakeholders across the business
- Using your attention to detail to ensure that the business is provided with robust information and insight to highlight trends in data
- Using intuition and insight to identify potential payroll errors based on knowledge of current processes and user errors
- Preparing data and trends in a simple, timely and accurate way that is appropriate to the audience
- Using your technical knowledge of Excel to create, automate and maintain reports for the team
- Building relationships and interacting with stakeholders across the business to access the correct data to ensure  reports produced are accurate
- Working with relevant Finance and Payroll teams as required to validate projected costs
- Being the in-house subject matter expert on Pay errors for our colleagues across the different business function areas
- Playing a key role in supporting our team's ambition to turn data into insight and action, by interpreting data to
recommend actions, and by coming up with insightful ways to present information to drive better decisions

Operational skills relevant for this job:

- Strong IT skills, specifically advanced level Excel and Powerpoint

- Strong numerical skills with a data driven approach 

- Organisational  and planning/ prioritisation skills

- Hands on UK payroll experience

- Attention to detail and accuracy
