About the role

The focus of the Finance Systems team is to provide a service to enable the business to manage their finance processes in a controlled manner.  The objective is to bring increased control, automation, simplification and convergence using enabling technology and to assist users with the resolution of issues according to pre-agreed SLAs.
We have rolled out a number of Oracle Fusion and EPM applications as part of the Finance Transformation at the end of 2018. We are now maintaining these systems as well as being involved in additional work covered in the scope of the Finance Transformation to improve on the first drop. We are looking for an EPBCS developer to take ownership of technical development for the two new EPBCS applications as well as providing support for other applications such as DRM, HFM, FDMEE, ARCS and TRCS during peak periods.

You will be responsible for

  • Problem Management;
    • Ensuring that escalated incidents are understood, classified and diagnosed
    • Problems are investigated and root cause analysis prepared
    • Logging service requests with Oracle in the case of an application bug
    • Problem management should be managed according to defined service legal agreements
    • Liaise with Technology to ensure problems with integration are resolved
  • Application Development;
    • Application Build / Configuration and Workflow amendments
    • Technical impact assessments of change requests
    • Mapping amendments 
    • Migration between non production environments
    • Maintenance of chart of accounts values including;
      • Periodic update of and synchronisation across all applications of COA Hierarchies
      • Review Export process integration, ensure error handling and resolution is monitored of both exports and inbound processes
    • Unit Testing of all changes
    • Documentation of changes

You will need

  • 5 Years developing experience in Hyperion Planning / PBCS / EPBCS
  • Good Shared Services Knowledge
  • Strong Business Rule and Calc Script skill set
  • Data Migration
  • Control and Procedure Design 
  • Define Business Requests
  • Other Oracle EPM application experience
  • Configuration management 
  • Problem management 
  • Sound Finance Knowledge/ Understanding
