Corporate Responsibility Reporting Manager

About the role

Leading our Corporate Responsibility reporting agenda, you will develop and publish high quality strategic reporting. You'll be managing our disclosures/corporate positions across a wide range of issues, and will be a strong advisor to the business.

You will be responsible for

  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence
  • Developing and leading a high performing team, giving them the opportunities to be their best, with line management responsibility for the Corporate Responsibility Executive
  • Leading the strategic direction of CR reporting for the business and working with action owners in the business to report progress against the Little Helps Plan
  • Developing, sourcing and producing print and digital Corporate Responsibility content, including Global Compact report, Environmental & Social Review in Annual Report, Little Helps Plan report and updates to Tesco PLC site
  • Managing Tesco's input to ESG indices identified as strategic priorities e.g. DJSI
  • Owning Tesco's relationship with external CR organisations eg. UN Global Compact 
  • Leading Tesco's engagement with SRIs, drawing on strong relationships with internal technical and product teams where specialist insight is required
  • Working with the Corporate Responsibility Executive to develop robust responses to CEO correspondence 
  • Advising internal stakeholders at all levels on CR and reporting best practice - and closely following external and peer developments
     

You will need

  • Strong knowledge of Tesco, with network of relevant experts across the business
  • Previous experience of developing CR reporting
  • Close familiarity with wider/industry CSR issues and theory, and their relevance to Tesco
  • Strong communications skills - both written and verbal
  • Use of content management systems for corporate websites
  • Project planning experience
  • Word, Excel and Powerpoint
