About the role

You'll be responsible for improving the Financial Control of the UK Business and to work cross functionally to ensure the UK financial statements and associated information are complete, accurate and prepared on a timely basis.

You will be responsible for

  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence
  • Manage the financial accounting and reporting process and lead the preparation of financial accounting analysis and general entries to understand the clients’ operations.
  • Help develop, maintain and assess internal controls related to accounting and financial reporting systems.
  • Ensure period end close activities are performed according to agreed close schedules and that accounting policies are in compliance with local GAAP and stated company norms (TGAP).
  • Oversee transactions, understands variances and pro-actively identifies potential problems to streamline and improve productivity and accuracy of the month end processes.
  • Ensure process governance including regular reporting and analysis to key stakeholders – communicate with internal stakeholders on a regular basis to discuss operational issues, key metrics.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests for analytics, through the agreed demand management framework to provide support to Retained Finance for product profitability, business case preparation and investigation into financial performance.

You will need

  • Professional finance qualification essential  
  • Experience of working with cross-functional teams.
  • Track record in driving continuous improvement.
  • Financial Accounting & costing experience.
  • Big Picture Thinking 
  • Experience in Data Management
  • Risk Management experience
  • Worked within a Control & Compliance function
