About the role

We are looking for a Learning Advisor to join the Tesco Family Dining (TFDL) team. You will act as a partner to both the Operations and Central Teams. Your main role will be to drive the training agenda, and to inspire our café and operations teams to adopt a learning culture.

This role is based at Tesco Head Office, Welwyn Garden City.

You will be responsible for

You will be responsible for assessing and meeting the training needs of the whole Tesco Family Dining team. The role will vary, but will include:

  • Designing and developing training content across a range of technical areas, reacting to business needs and current trends within hospitality
  • Collaborating with all Central Team functions to ensure training content is up to date and relevant, and that it lands effectively with the Operations Team
  • Becoming a trusted advisor on both training issues and business decisions to ensure consistency across the brand
  • Leading and managing training and development projects for all TFDL colleagues; including driving our coffee excellence programme and the safety training agenda.
  • Managing and developing the internal Learning Management System, including reporting on colleagues progress through training courses
  • Developing and launching development programmes for all TFDL colleagues
  • Communicating effectively with the cafes, Operations Team and the Central Team

Whilst this role is based in Welwyn Garden City, travel around the UK will be expected so that you remain close to the Operations Team. This role will report into our Strategy & Implementation Manager.

You will need

You will need to have a passion for training and development and hospitality experience. Excellent organisation skills are required with the ability to manage your time and workflow.
