About the role

In this role you will be responsible for Tesco's corporate responsibility/sustainability strategy, reporting and engagement with key external stakeholders.

You will be responsible for

  • Developing and delivering the Little Helps Plan - Tesco's sustainability strategy - ensuring that it continues to address Tesco's most material issues and reflect customer, colleague and stakeholder priorities
  • Engaging colleagues across the Tesco Group to support delivery of the Little Helps Plan
  • Monitoring progress against our key sustainability commitments through oversight of KPIs
  • Embedding the Little Helps Plan into the business by inputting to key business planning processes
  • Supporting governance of the Little Helps Plan, including through the Non-Exec Corporate Responsibility Committee
  • Accountable for delivery of Tesco's sustainability reporting, including working to integrate our non-financial and financial reporting, and ongoing communication of progress against the Little Helps Plan
  • Leading Tesco's engagement with investors on ESG issues, including managing Tesco's participation in ESG indices and benchmarks
  • Working with the insight team to gather insight on how our work is impacting trust in Tesco
  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence
  • Developing and leading a high performing team, giving them the opportunities to be their best
  • Forecasting and managing my budgets effectively, always being cost conscious

You will need

- Strategic thinking 
- Project Management skills
- Communications skills

- Corporate responsibility/sustainability expertise 
- Experience of developing and leading a strategy
- Communication experience
