About the role

Lead Analytics Managers in Supply Chain Development and Change lead teams of Analysts and Product Managers & work cross functionally across Product, Channels and Technology to deliver a great customer shopping trip.

We have three roles available:

  • Convenience Change – improve the Express store operation to simpler, more profitable and deliver better availability for customers
  • General Merchandise downstream supply chain – improve how stock flows from depot to store to improve availability, reduce backstock and make it simpler for colleagues
  • Forecasting Platforms – develop lost sales detection, and design operational overrides to support short range and long range sales forecasting on our Hadoop platform.

You will be responsible for

As a Lead Analytics Manager for Supply Chain, you will need to:

  • Develop a broad understanding of how the retail industry, our supply chain and store operations work, and why
  • Through your network, data, and experience identify opportunities to drive transformational and measurable change
  • Articulate a clear and compelling vision and create clear project plans to meet goals
  • Engage stakeholders and influence at all levels across the business
  • Lead, coach and develop your team, and the wider department
  • Work cross functionally; be an ambassador for the department and have skills to deliver through external teams
  • Follow our Business Code of Conduct and always act with integrity and due diligence

You will need

You will need to have demonstrated experience of:

  • Data analysis
  • Root cause analysis
  • Process improvement
  • Strong project management
  • Cost and benefit tracking
  • Delivering through others

Relevant Experience:

  • Analytical rigour
  • Using tools to extract & and analyse data (especially SQL, Excel)
  • Working at pace to tight deadlines
  • Working in an uncertain, and sometimes high pressure environment
  • Working with senior stakeholders
  • Working with Supply Chain Systems
  • Leading and coaching a team
  • Supply Chain Operations
  • Good degree from a recognised institution

Personal:

  • Flexibility, ability to plan and organise, responsiveness, creativity, self-starter
  • Able to build solid working relationships with peers and senior leadership
  • Ability to demonstrate strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills to all levels of seniority and disciplines within the organisation
