About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Jack’s Operations team on an initial 6-month FTC.

The new concept brand of Tesco has a clear sense of heritage and with your previous retail / store experience, you will be at the heart of the new format and brand, ensuring a fantastic customer journey and experience.

Working collaboratively with the Jack’s Product, Customer, Retail, People & Finance teams, you will be responsible for delivering the exciting 19/20 launch programme as well as reviewing & supporting our existing Jack’s stores, developing the best tools and processes for colleagues and customers alike.

Focussing on identifying opportunities to simplify store operations including store routines & reducing shrink, you will also have the opportunity to support and work across the broader Operations team, acting as a key link between the two.

 

You will be responsible for

  • Being the main point of contact for store routines in Jack’s;
  • Analysing data to establish the root cause of non-compliance of processes;
  • Working collaboratively with key stakeholders at all levels;
  • Identifying opportunities where shrink and security can be improved in Jack’s stores;
  • Up-skilling stakeholders on development of processes and routines specific to Jack’s;
  • Working effectively in stores and in the office to deliver multiple projects;
  • Implementing change and reviewing execution within stores;
  • Influence stakeholders across the office, stores and suppliers, to ensure support is in place and decisions are made as required;
  • Exploring feedback from the Jack’s retail team to identify opportunities;

You will need

  • Attention to detail is essential – ability to spot errors and work with complex & detailed information
  • Confident verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ideally but not essential, you will have experience within the retail sector
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Proactive, flexible and able to manage a number of conflicting priorities;
  • Strong team player
  • Problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent responsiveness with high levels of resilience
  • Interest in exploring new ideas, concepts and ways of approaching a situation/process differently
