About the role

As the Programme Analyst, you will be responsible for leading the insight team and managing how our insight data is delivered across the business, ensuring it is executed in the right way. Engaging with Stakeholders, you will ensure they are fully engaged and on board. 

You will be responsible for

  • Leading the analytical support for Transformation & Operations Development projects and programmes by providing relevant and credible information from all relevant data sources to support Business Support project managers / project work analysis / ad-hoc requests, using efficient data mining and modelling techniques.
  • Managing a direct report, supporting with their development and helping them reach their full potential.
  • Managing and prioritising the team’s analytical backlog/current & future workload.
  • Taking loosely defined problem statements and understanding how to structure and focus analysis to deliver value and provide clarity.
  • Building great relationships with Project and Transformation Managers across the Operations Development team to deliver shared outcomes.
  • Linking with colleagues across the business to share models / information and understand all data sources available that could be used to support analysis including Customer, Finance and People data.
  • Building and maintaining tools to improve store operations, visualise data and deliver insight.
  • Working with team members and across the business to enhance analytical capability and share skills, knowledge and best practices.

You will need

  • Experience of data analysis and data modelling or Qualification - Institute of Management Services (IMS) certification
  • Technology such as SQL (Teradata), Tableau, Alteryx, Business Intelligence, Micro Strategy and emerging data technologies.
  • Knowledge of Grocery Retail is desirable
  • Clear and simple communication of complex concepts to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Analytical & problem solving skills
  • Planning and organising
  • Technical skills - Advanced Microsoft Excel (inc. VBA), SQL and knowledge of current market analyst tools / methods
