About the role

The role sits within the Global Planning & Reporting team who lead the Financial Planning process, track delivery against plans and Business Partner many functions across Tesco. 
This role provides great opportunities as it offers exposure to many senior stakeholders and different parts of Finance.
Within this role, you will be responsible for consolidating Budgets and Forecasts on Central Head Office costs, including insightful review of performance reports (Budgets, Forecasts and Actuals) and managing various projects. 

You will be responsible for

• Lead & manage the Head office Planning Process across 12 functions

• Develop strategic objectives & drivers in line with group targets & business priorities.

• Manage & consolidate Forecasts & Budgets 

• Create Long Term Plan (LTP) and Budget scenarios.

• Coordinate the rolling Forecast process.

• Engage with extended teams in India to deliver standard periodic performance packs

• Provide insight and analysis for governing bodies including commentary on key performance drivers

• Track and report Head office spend vs. Budget periodically and share with functions for wider communication and action.

• Support and monitor the implementation of corrective actions.

• Lead the implementation of various process improvements including a new International Recharge Model.

• Deputise for the Head of Finance at various stakeholder meetings

• Working with the control function to ensure accurate reflection of costs in the ledger

You will need

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)

• Experience in managing large scale budgets 

• Experience of engaging and working with senior business stakeholders

• Effective financial analysis skills

• Ability to work against tight time lines and prioritise accordingly
