The Safety, Security and Resilience team here at Tesco, support the business by proactively identifying, assessing and prioritising risks. We constantly work hard to serve shoppers a little better every day and looking after our colleagues and customers personal data plays a huge part.

CCTV forms a considerable part of the personal data we collect and we want you to be confident that your personal data is safe and secure with us.

As we change and improve the way we work, we are recruiting for a CCTV Data Access Executive, to work in our newly created hub at Head Office in Welwyn Garden City where you will ensure we put the customer first, in the way we deal with personal information.

You will be responsible for

  • Ensuring data protection and subject access requests for access to our CCTV are logged, analysed, and disclosed according to our legal or policy time limits, always putting the customer first
  • Completing the necessary identification checks, identifying and obtaining the correct CCTV from our stores, distribution centres or our offices
  • Reviewing the footage and carrying out pixilation to ensure other personal information is not improperly disclosed
  • Liaising with the Police and other Law Enforcement Agencies to support their lawful requests to assist with the prevention and detection of crime, helping to ensure our customers are safe and do not become victims of crime whilst on our premises
  • Support the use of Police on-line reporting portals to share CCTV
  • Producing evidential statements relating to data requests for the Police or other Law Enforcement Agencies and outside organisations
  • Supporting the Tesco Corporate Investigations team by providing research from Tesco CCTV systems
  • Supporting the General GDPR Access Team with other forms of data requests when required
  • Managing my own priorities and workload to ensure what we do is right for the customer and continuously building and sharing knowledge and experience
  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence

 

You will need

Good communication skills and stakeholder management experience is essential with the ability to manage & prioritise a busy workload. 

The successful candidate will be highly organised and able to work at pace with a good working knowledge of Excel. You will be able to manage a high caseload, work independently and manage multiple requests.

Previous retail, security or police experience would be desirable but isn't essential.
