About the role

An exciting opportunity has become available to join our passionate Communications team here at Tesco.

As a Communications Coordinator, you will work across the business so that our stores, leadership and distribution colleagues receive simple and engaging communication through the relevant channels at the right time.

You will be responsible for producing well written content in a clear, concise manner relating to all things operational, from projects being rolled out in store, to promotional offers, adapting your approach to best capture the audience.

You will be responsible for

  • Accountable and passionate about delivering outstanding operational communications for channels. 
  • Craft and build excellent communications to stores, distribution and retail leadership teams ensuring they have relevant information to do their jobs
  • Build daily and weekly publications to enable store teams to remain well informed on key operational messages
  • Use data to compliment the understanding of how communications land and how we can continue to deliver outstanding messages to colleagues 
  • Make informed decisions based on doing the right thing for our customers and am recognised as an expert in communications
  • Be adaptable and respond well in a rapidly changing communications environment
  • Review and tailor communications to ensure they are in line with the business tone of voice and brand expression, providing coaching where appropriate
  • Work with the business to identify innovative colleague communication solutions, following our Business code of conduct and always act with integrity
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues within to ensure all communication is on time and accurate

You will need

To have a meticulous eye for detail and accuracy, strong writing skills and a proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes.

The successful candidate will ideally have an understanding of retail operations and store structures, thrive in a team environment and able to work to tight deadlines under pressure.
