You will be responsible for

•Working independently and leading the assigned Projects and Programmes including: defining what the problem is, identifying solutions and turning this into a clear project brief and scope

•Facilitation of the relevant project meetings and governance sessions, updating board and leadership teams with progress. Identifying any cross programme dependencies and driving alignment

•Identifying and managing risks and issues across a programme or project

•Working with the Finance Team to ensure that the Business Case of a project / programme and outcome KPIs are defined, clear and measured

•Working with third party providers and Tesco Group contacts to identify solutions, trial and implement within one stop. Managing procurement process for new suppliers where required.

•Engaging and aligning stakeholders to the programme/project plan, making timely decisions and resolving issues promptly

•Development of the specific Project/Programme Team, building capability and addressing areas of concern

•Line management of Business Plan Project Coordinator ensuring they follow all project office processes to support you and help with their own personal development

•Ensuring consistency of approach through standard Project/Programme management ways of working and helping teams to move at pace, using project manager tools available to me

•Supporting the Business Plan process by understanding and challenging plans and bringing new opportunities to the table

•Supporting on any key Business Plan events

•Managing & conducting work activities in such a way as to ensure the safety, health & welfare at work of all colleagues & customer

•You will spend 30% of your time shaping plans, running trials and managing and communicating with stakeholders and the wider business

•30% of your time root causing problems and identifying solutions

•30% of your time working with project team members and direct report(s) delivering the plan and resolving issues/risks

•10% of your time identifying future opportunities, challenges, strategy and wider market place

You will need

Technical Skills:

•Experience of project management

•Broad experience of business processes / functions

•Strong stakeholder management

•Good analysis and decisive decision making skills

•Ability to work collaboratively, be diplomatic and take people with me

•Good Knowledge of our competitive set and store processes

•Driven and independent worker
