We are currently looking to recruit an individual to join our Trading Law and Technical team. The ideal candidate would have a proven track record in a Trading Law and Technical environment.
The role would be responsible for liaising with all business stakeholders to gain and good understanding of Retail to help drive a Safe & Legal culture across the business.
The Trading Law and Technical team manage and review legal risks to the business that fall under Trading Standards (Consumer Protection) and Environmental Health (Food Safety and Environmental). The role of the Coordinator is to support with this through the following:
Support with Own Label management and data. Engage with key stakeholders both within the business and external.
• Support the team with Food Safety management and data. Engage with key stakeholders both within the business and external.
• Support the team with Safe & Legal audit management and data. Engage with key stakeholders both within the business and external.
• Manage the Product Quality Complaints log within store and the Customer Services Centre.
• Develop communication tools and training.
• Support the team with maintaining Trading Law and Technical policy and procedures.
• Keep up to date with trends and technology. Be mindful of legislative changes, emerging product risks and risk management.
• Responding to requests for information from Enforcement authorities, Store Support and other areas of the business including Yammer.
Degree qualified is desirable but not essential
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to be creative and innovative
• Ability to prioritise competing demands and delivering to deadlines
• Ability to work well with limited supervision
• Ability to work towards gaining food safety qualifications
• Excellent knowledge of all basic Microsoft packages, and expert user of Excel and PowerPoint and use of social media tools
• Awareness of retail and distribution activities
• Understanding of food safety and auditing principles
• Project management skills
