One Stop - Assistant Buyer - Frozen Food & Ice Cream

We are currently looking to recruit someone to join our Product Team.  The ideal candidate would have a proven track record in a Product environment including Supply base interactions.

The role would be responsible for managing the Frozen Food and Ice Cream categories - £21m Sales pa. You would be required to work cross functionally (internally/externally) to continue the development of these categories – introducing category/business initiatives with a compelling customer and financial offer, which are delivered on time.

• You will work with the Supply Base to establish a strategic plan to deliver an improving customer offer.
• Ensure plans and initiatives are delivered effectively, efficiently and on time.
• Manage and communicate the KPI reporting across your category performances.
• Manage your categories Commercial Gross Margins.
• Manage and communicate your Trade Plan. 
• Stakeholder manage your strategy across One Stop and Supply-Base
• Work internally/with your suppliers/Tesco teams to ensure that all initiatives land right fist time.
• Work with supply chain to deliver most optimal route to market.
• Identify and route cause problems and provide solutions.
• Have a personal development plan for behavioural and technical needs.
• Manage & conduct work activities in such a way as to ensure the safety, health & welfare at work of all colleagues & customers.

• Experience interacting with the Supply Base
• Experienced at stakeholder management across all work levels
• Customer focused with analytical skills
• Understand market conditions & awareness across future trends
• Able to be pro-active : re-active and resilient
• Self-motivated with endless enthusiasm & passion
• Team work skills are essential
