About the role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Recruiter within our Technology recruitment team to join us at our Head Office in Welwyn Garden City.  

This role will offer someone the chance to lead Technology hiring efforts across multiple departments with a specific focus on Cyber Security and Infastructure; defining processes and adding significant value to our stakeholders as well as the wider organisation. The team provides a customer centric, specialised and data driven recruitment offering and this position will play a pivotal role in the quality and development of this work.  Our customers expect to shop from any location at any time. Our Technology and Online teams makes that happen whilst driving change and developing exciting new technologies at the same time.

As the Senior Tech Recruiter, you will be a subject matter expert in recruiting tech talent, aware of the challenges of working in this environment and how to overcome them, as well as using your knowledge and experience to manage and support  other members of the function.

We are ideally looking for someone who is currently working at a Managerial level as well as solid experience of recruitment within Cyber Security and/or Infastructure.

In-house recruitment experience would be advantageous but not essential.

 

You will be responsible for

  • Lead all recruitment activity across multiple technology functions, attracting and hiring great talent for Tesco Technology, with a focus on Tech Cyber Security and Infastructure.
  • Expertly lead a team of recruiters, providing management, coaching and guidance to enable them to meet their own hiring goals.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships with the Tech Leadership Team, understanding their business and providing candidates that are the right fit for Tesco.
  • Define and develop attraction and recruiting strategies for the tech business that are innovative and a break from the norm.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for recruitment, using knowledge and experience to meet robust hiring targets.
  • Deliver a data driven recruitment service to Director level stakeholders, utilising market data to ensure Tesco remain competitive in a demanding recruitment environment.
  • Define, leverage and promote Tesco’s Employer Brand through networking, Social Media, events and other means enabling Tesco to engage with, and attract, individuals from the tech community.
  • Review and revise, where necessary, our assessment techniques, providing candidates with an engaging and positive hiring process that results in above average acceptance rates.
  • Understand the benefits of having a diverse, multicultural business and be a representative of our diversity policies at all times.

You will need

  • Proven senior recruiter in the Cyber Security and/or Tech Infastructure fields with a strong track record in delivering of meeting ambitious targets.
  • Prior experience of managing and influencing Senior stakeholders
  • Expert in using social and professional media platforms to aid hiring efforts.
  • An expert in recruiting and sourcing techniques in the technology space, including the utilisation of niche sourcing tools and talent mining activities.
  • Prior experience of delivering training and facilitating learning both internally within recruiting and the stakeholder communities.
  • Strong leadership skills, able to work with colleagues in the team and wider department, imparting knowledge and experience.
  • Able to work at pace and use data to inform and influence your approach.
  • Very comfortable using cloud based ATS systems and using those systems to deliver insight and analytics to the customer groups.
