About the role
As Programme Manager you will be part of a small Programme team within the wider Centre of Excellence and will be expected to work on a broad range of projects that may touch all areas of the organisation. This exciting role will manage large scale, complex programmes of work, to deliver transformational change and benefits to the business.
You will be responsible for
- Setting up and attending governance forums with support, by engaging key sponsors and subject matter experts
- Managing key stakeholders and dependencies to establish ways of working and alignment of approaches
- Producing the initial project plan and tracking and reporting progress to the governance forum
- Setting up project/team budgeting and planning any deliverable creation processes, to ensure expectations are clearly established and standards followed
- Delivering projects on time and on budget
- Capturing lessons learned in conjunction with team members and other key stakeholders
- Engaging key stakeholders within and outside of governance forums and communicating the progress
- Delivering the programme outcomes, as indicated in the programme business case, whilst managing trade-offs across the whole programme or interlinked projects
- Working with the Resourcing Manager to source and flex resources across the programme and against programme budgets, to meet priorities
- Establishing clear direction, accountabilities and deliverable expectations for the programme leadership team (incl. - Programme Management Office and interlinked Project Managers)
- Forecasting and managing budgets effectively, always being cost conscious
- Working alongside Change Management and Technology to ensure successful planning and delivery
You will need
- Hands-on Project Management experience in delivering Programmes or multiple small / medium sized Projects
- Demonstrable experience as a Senior Project Manager / Programme Manager
- Finance and Tech Programme / Project delivery experience
- Experience managing Programmes / Projects with Budgets up to c£1m
- To have delivered end to end Programmes / Projects from initiation, delivery, to release and handover
- A Programme / Project Management Professional accreditation i.e. MSP, PMP, Prince2, SAFe, Agile would be desirable
- Experience of large corporate financial budgeting and planning processes
- Experience leading programme teams
- Prior experience working within projects heavily aligned with Technology
- Strong Stakeholder skills
