About the role

A rare opportunity has arisen within Customer for an experienced SEO Lead to take responsibility for all SEO processes and operations that underpin SEO performance for Tesco's UK business units (RFO*, GHS**, DotCom, Clubcard).

This is a fantastic chance to lead all operational aspects of the SEO; managing budget, stakeholders and driving strategy to generate positive change during the rapid growth of our e-commerce business.

This role would suit someone who has strong influencing and communication skills and is currently working as an SEO Lead or Manager of a team.

You will be responsible for

- Leading all operational aspects of the SEO
- Owning the SEO budget and ensuring that the business is getting the best quality and value
- Managing external supplier relationships across software and service providers
- Overseeing and approving SEO strategy
- Filtering all SEO recommendations from suppliers and responding to requests
- Identifying high value recommendations from suppliers, building and delivering business cases and supporting the implementation alongside internal stakeholders.
- Staying on top of current trends and Innovating to harness relevant opportunities.
- Staying abreast of SEO performance and reporting to the business
- Consult with, advise and educate where relevant, internal stakeholders on all matters to do with SEO including taxonomy changes, migrations, copy, technical, content (transactional and non-transactional)
- Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence

You will need

- Solid experience of working hands on in SEO focused roll (agency side)
- Additional in-house experience an advantage 
- Managing budgets and stakeholders 
- Extensive experience doing SEO on large scale ecommerce websites
- Track record of success with ecommerce clients 
- Excellent technical SEO skills
