Online Development Manager - Pricing

Tesco Online is the biggest online grocer in the UK and one of the largest in the world, recently reaching over £6 billion. Digital growth is core to Tesco’s future strategy and this role will be support the definition and implementation of our strategy and capabilities around price and promotions online.
 

Part time working hours available.

• Supporting the definition of a strategic direction for pricing and promotions for the Online channel, and where that mirrors or differs from our store channels.
• Working with Customer and Commercial teams to understand the best balance between Value and Margin, and agree long term plans to improve both.
• Identifying and driving mid- and long-term opportunities to improve the Online channel profitability. Partnering with Online Optimisation to deliver plans.
• Working with Online Trading and Customer Growth teams to understand the limitations of our current price and promotion capabilities, and set out a prioritised list of improvements.
• Working with Product/Tech to understand and agree the roadmap of pricing and promotion capabilities.
   

Experience relevant for this job: 

• Commercial or financial understanding
• eCommerce operations insight
• Familiarity with customer insight and sentiment measures

• Understanding of online business models and economics.
• Project and stakeholder management skills
• Good commercial acumen and understanding
