About the role

We are looking for an individual to own and champion the operational learning for finance teams aligned to the evolving needs of the business and colleagues, by curating and delivering a simple and engaging world class learning offer.

You will be responsible for

  • Developing the learning strategy for Finance aligned to the current and future business needs, and through partnering and collaborating with the Finance Leadership team and People Partnering team.
  • Using my knowledge and expertise to design and curate an inclusive operational learning offer for Finance & Procurement colleagues, that builds the right capability for now and for the future.
  • Supporting the Talent and Inclusion agenda for Finance through the learning offer.
  • Adapting the Finance learning content to an evolving workforce and workplace, continually looking for innovative ways to design and deliver learning content, based on the latest trends and research.
  • Partnering the Finance Leadership Team, People Partners and Learning Partners across the Finance Group to embed the learning strategy.
  • Building and owning the communications and engagement strategy for learning across Finance UK based teams, and share best practice with our other markets and associated businesses.
  • Owning and managing the Finance Learning and Development Hub, Technical Skills Framework and Professional Qualifications Sponsorship policy/annual cycle.
  • Forecasting and running my budgets effectively, always being cost conscious.
  • Demonstrating the value and impact of L&D investment – embedding learning into the operating DNA of the business.
  • Inspiring and developing managers to foster a true self-led and continuous learning culture.

You will need

  • Knowledge of the latest learning trends and how people learn
  • Experience in designing and delivering learning programmes
  • Operational knowledge of Finance
  • Forecasting and managing budgets

It remains that Shire Park is our central location for Head Office teams. We have recently announced that we will be moving towards a more blended working week – combining office and remote working.  Our base will be the office, where we connect, collaborate and innovate – and there will be the expectation for everyone to be in the office more often than not. For Head Office roles we therefore expect colleagues to spend a proportion of their time at our offices in Shire Park.

We are supportive of colleagues having conversations with hiring managers about what office presence will look like in the context of the role.
