Packaging Coordinator

This role is such a great opportunity for a behind the scenes, hands on, busy role working with packaging. You will providing support and administration to the Packaging Development Manager dealing with lots of different areas within the business, to deliver better packaging for our customers & colleagues, reducing cost for our businesses & lowering planetary impacts for all.

The Hiring Manager for this role is Paul Earnshaw.

• Providing full admin and coordination duties for the department.
• Working closely with the Packaging Manager providing full support across many disciplines.
• Tracking, reporting and helping to implement packaging solutions fit for the future: Removal, Reduction, Reuse, Recyclability
• Tracking and reporting on other packaging changes: Derogations, Exemptions
• Tracking cost-out and efficiency improvements for category teams. Therefore good Excel and IT skills required, with high attention to detail!
• Working with sourcing teams, suppliers and our broad network to track and find opportunities, plan and deliver improved packaging performance and data, focusing on sustainability, cost reduction and innovation.
• Ensuring required Tesco packaging standards and quality documents are maintained and adhered to by all.
• Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence.
• Being able to respond to all queries on behalf of the team.

• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a broad group of stakeholders
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Logical approach to project management and tracking
• Ability to understand and evaluate technical/scientific concepts
