About the role

This role is perfect for a delivery focused individual who can deliver complex, cross-functional technology programmes that improve our colleagues lives and help serve our customers better. They work collaboratively across multiple streams to shape and lead the programme to deliver value quickly, often, and with an acceptable level of quality. TPM holds Engineering & Product team to account against their commitments, the delivery framework / methodology as agreed within the team and underlying principles of technology delivery of done, including non-functional aspects like security, performance, etc.

You will be responsible for

  • Deliver technology programmes across different technologies e.g. distributed systems, developing large-scale web applications, cloud implementations and infrastructure.
  • Comfortable making sense of complex/ambiguous business problems, understanding trade-offs.
  • Understand a technical design to be able to foresee the impact on dependencies, delivery timelines and implementation plans.
  • Create an environment where risks and issues affecting success are shared openly and honestly.
  • Have good knowledge of software development processes and infrastructure delivery so that you can appreciate delivery challenges.
  • Understand the benefits of different delivery methodologies to drive the selection of most appropriate one for the task at hand e.g. agile, waterfall, iterative.
  • Able to move into new/unfamiliar areas of the business and apply experience of how best to achieve success.
  • Coach peers and other member on methodologies and programme management tools.

You will need

Budget skills 

  • Review and report on capital and revenue budgets.
  • Work with the Product and Engineering teams to define annual budgetary requirements.
  • Third Parties.
  • Build positive relationships with suppliers & external stakeholders to deliver software or professional services.
