Joining our team of Product, Programme and Change Managers you will have the opportunity to chip in a very real way to Tesco’s success.

You will be responsible for

  • Have complete ownership of a sophisticated UI which will allow our teams to trade the Grocery home shopping website. Working with multiple strategic enterprise APIs involving multiple internal / external partners and drive the Product strategy and execution for the UI.
  • Efficient in partner management and has ability to steer the team in the right direction by putting the best team members in the most value generating Products/ Business priorities
  • Extensive experience with both UX/UI and transactional APIs and SOA. Technically proficient to influence and understand the solution context and approach (legacy, tactical, strategic) and aid engineering in estimating the complexity of work being requested.
  • Understands the impact technical debt is causing and the value Tech upgrades can bring and can hold the objective conversations with your technology counterparts to prioritize it during any sprint.
  • Formulate the vision, strategy and roadmap for the Product you own (building a product and decommissioning legacy systems) and work with others to align the strategic priorities, dependencies and roadmap across the myProduct suite.
  • Quickly build proven experience and assess new opportunities (gathering ideas, research, carrying out analysis, refining and prioritising new requirements).
  • Plan and co-ordinate significant product efforts that have dependencies on multiple product and delivery teams.
  • Steer sprint/release planning sessions in conjunction with engineering counterparts to effectively deliver maximum business value with the least effort.
  • Identify and drive improvements in the way API performance and service levels are measured to ensure quality, reliability, and security.
  • Lead discovery work around minimum viable products (MVP) for any new feature, collaborating with delivery teams and internal / external partners to prototype and validating MVPs.
  • Help the team in breaking down sophisticated pieces of work and build epics and stories to break down large programmes into smaller, deliverable chunks of value that can be delivered faster.
  • Owning the performance / adoption of the Product and work towards growing the customer base.

You will need

  • Proven success of having managed a sophisticated product that led to the delivery of significant value to your stakeholders.
  • Good knowledge in the use of Tools and Techniques for Backlog prioritisation, managing dependencies and for gaining insights using available data points.
  • Knowledge and experience of software development methodologies and processes.
  • Handling conflicting priorities well, communicating clearly and understanding how to drive a high level of focus and excellence with a strong, hardworking, and outspoken team!
