About the role

  • Work within Business Support to manage and align streams of work for channels, ensuring we always serve customers, communities and the planet a little better everyday.
  • Be agile in your approach, working across different areas of our business planning and Business
  • Support operations to ensure plans are aligned in support of the Service Delivery Model and our strategic goals/drivers.

You will be responsible for

  • Managing how the Service Delivery Model (SDM) change portfolio is delivered, ensuring it's executed in the right way and at the right time, with all stakeholders fully engaged and aligned behind the approach.
  • Aligning plans across Tesco to deliver the chosen Service Delivery Model (SDM) approach and ensure it delivers on our strategic outcomes.
  • Ensuring key stakeholders are engaged and aligned behind the long term plan to enable end to end delivery.
  • Coordinating and managing approaches with teams across the business to understand risks, opportunities and trade offs, enabling clear and consistent decisions to be made on the best approach for both current and future plans.
  • Building open and trusted relationships with leadership teams across the business so they are fully engaged and bought into the chosen launch approach, including preparing governance papers/packs.
  • Coordinating and managing interdependencies and alignment with functions across the business to ensure we develop the right plans and they are executed in the right way.
  • Ensuring the right governance is in place to enable informed decisions to be made, at the right time and in the right forums.
  • Facilitating regular natural work teams/steering groups to monitor and report on risks and issues, creating mitigation plans to ensure successful delivery.
  • Continually developing best practice across Tesco for large scale operational change.
  • Setting clear objectives and reviewing my teams performance through 1:1 meetings, Inspiring
  • Great Performance Every Day and everyday conversations, using the supporting your performance process to manage underperformance where required.
  • Continuously reviewing the capability within my team, inspiring my team to take ownership of their development and providing guidance and support where needed.
  • Recognising good achievements, celebrating success and using the fair ratings process to ensure my team are recognised for the contribution they make.
  • Following our business code of conduct and always acting with integrity/due diligence.

You will need

Experience / Operational skills required for this role:

  • Stakeholder management
  • Strong communicator.
  • Curious/able to consider various types of
  • information to reach conclusions
  • Competent in MS office.
  • First hand experience writing
  • engagement/governance papers at pace.
  • Able to manage strategic change plans.
  • Collaborating and influencing stakeholders.
  • Working at pace, highly organised.
