We are looking for a Design Manager who can see the possibility in every opportunity - from large ground-breaking projects on big budgets to the small incremental quick wins that will provide thousands of colleagues with immediate improvements.
As Design Manager – store operations, you will be part of the colleague experience team that crafts the Tesco tools and services that are used by hundreds of thousands of our Tesco colleagues every day.
In this role, you have the opportunity to be strategic yet hands-on, you have a passion for craft and design and most of all shape a clear vision of the future for user experience. You will guide our future research, develop design processes, and encourage your team to together push the boundaries of what’s possible. You will be a mentor for dedicated members of your team, collaborate with leaders of Product, Data Science and Engineering teams to create innovative experiences across all of Tesco products.
With genuine appetite for sophisticated information, you will have experience in deep user research, facilitation, conceptualisation, and technical implementation as well as a passion and energy for design and visual communication of your ideas. Insights and data (quant and qual) are what drives our team and you will use it to empower your decisions to support and improve the lives of people when coupled with a clear understanding of their evolving needs.
As our ideal candidate, you're passionate about UX, love to understand the customers and colleagues and are excited to champion their needs.
We offer excellent benefits that help make Tesco a great place to work! These include but are not limited to:

We are proud to have an inclusive culture at Tesco where everyone truly feels able to be themselves. At Tesco, we not only celebrate diversity, but recognise the value and opportunity it brings. We’re committed to creating a workplace where differences are valued, and make sure that all colleagues are given the same opportunities. We’re a big business with diverse working patterns and many business areas which means that we can find something that works for you. Everyone is welcome at Tesco.
We have recently announced that we are moving to a more blended working week – combining office and remote working. Our offices continue to be where we connect, collaborate and innovate. Talk to us about how this can work for you.
