About the role

You will be responsible for delivering significant projects and programmes to transform the UKs largest online fulfilment operation. With an in-depth knowledge of online fulfilment strategies and solutions, you will help define build strategy and create maximum value from the online operations. Understanding the benefits and limitations of different fulfilment models you will play a lead role in recommending and delivering new solutions and improvements that will enable a best-in-class operation. You will have a good understanding of online economics and financial models to be able to determine the right solutions that drive sales and profitability.

This role will be based out of our Welwyn Garden City office and will require international travel.

You will be responsible for

Strategy Consulting

  • Lead a team of project managers to develop new propositions and fulfilment solutions
  • Recommend appropriate solutions to develop and accelerate the online business
  • Prepare business proposals and presentations present to C-level stakeholders
  • Lead teams through business change and strategy development, coaching best practice for fulfilment transformation
  • Provide consulting support and/or deliverables to central and operations teams
  • Ensure that proposed benefits are tracked/realised
  • Manage financial performance of all project deliveries

Stakeholder Management

  • Maintain and seek out strong relationships with stakeholders throughout the change cycle keeping them informed of progress
  • Ensure high level of customer satisfaction becoming a trusted partner for stakeholders around the business
  • Regularly measure and review the ROI and value we are creating

Team Leader

  • Build and disseminate to the team an in-depth knowledge of fulfilment strategy and change management methodologies
  • Drive collaboration across Tesco in order to demonstrate a joined up consistent approach for the client to maximize value and to deliver against an integrated overall online plan.
  • Lead and line-manage project managers to ensure they each play their respective role in contributing to the overall plans, stakeholder management, customer satisfaction and change management

You will need

Essential

  • Understanding of the E2E online fulfilment journey including inbound, outbound and final mile solutions
  • Experience as a consultant or experience leading significant transformational programmes within a large company
  • Ability to build strategies, business models and business cases for ecommerce businesses
  • Experience delivering fulfilment transformation programmes ideally related to manual picking or final mile improvements
  • A deep knowledge of fulfilment solutions in the market, their strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience in writing significant reports and deliverables
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally

 

Preferred

 

  • Relationship building and negotiation skills and / or experience in leading and improving fulfilment operations
  • Degree in Business, Economics, or a related field preferred but not essential
  • Professional change qualification (e.g. MSP, PRINCE)
  • Experience delivering automation projects
