You will be responsible for

My impact is across the directorate that I am a member of, but also reaches beyond to effect change across the wider organisation. I solve problems and support delivery of solutions that benefit the whole organisation. I would generally expect to be given a very high-level problem to work on, but everything after that is me: identifying and formalising the problem, converting it into a simple technical solutions and supporting their implementation.

  • Ensuring current/proposed Infrastructure network projects align with the industry best practice and cyber security principles
  • Provide support/assistance to infrastructure teams to ensure the cyber security strategy is met Provide expertise on infrastructure security to the wider technology teams
  • Provide support/assistance to the overall cyber security team to investigate root cause of security gaps
  • Provide support/assistance to the overall cyber security team to identify opportunities for security control optimisation in line with threats affecting our business
  • Monitor and respond to emerging threat patterns, vulnerabilities and anomalies
  • Facilitate and scope Infrastructure security assessments, pen testing, reviews and audits
  • Provide mentoring/guidance to security colleagues to build understanding of network technologies and its role it in the wider infrastructure landscape

You will need

  • Proven track record of leading large scale changes and teams
  • Experienced in network design and implementation
  • Successfully implementations across large organisations
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing and operating network technologies.
  • Experience acting as a technical authority across multiple domains and multiple technologies
  • Experience proposing architectural patterns for adoption by an organisation
  • Experience guiding large programmes of work
  • Experience driving the adoption of industry best practice
