Head of Strategic Sourcing and e-sourcing

This role supports categories in building and implementing their category sourcing plans in line with our broader sourcing strategy for Food by seeking to identify and mitigate supply, brand and price risk. 

The role will have line management responsibilities for 5 people. 

• Identifying opportunities and leading our Supply Base Reviews (SBRs) based on market landscape, contract length, business model and savings aligned to our Customer strategy.
• Leading and developing a cross functional team partnering with stakeholders across Product (commodities, cost modelling, treasury, technical, supply chain, responsible sourcing, finance and legal) and our Channels/Regions units (Booker, ROI & CE) to ensure business alignment
• Engaging with category to define and articulate the vision and objectives of the sourcing review
• Implementing strategy and building scenarios analysis/recommendations to optimise commercials   
• Developing best sourcing/procurement practice to ensure a consistent approach and to drive continuous improvements
• Scoping market capacity and alternative suppliers
• Embedding process capability with e-Sourcing team to optimize RFI/RFQ process analytical and governance tools
• Collaborating with non-Food Sourcing team (GM) and CE Sourcing team to embed best practice processes and tools (Buy Move Sell Plan, QVIS supplier scorecard, e-Sourcing) and leverage on Group capability
• Evaluating supplier performance (savings, supplier scorecards and BMS tools) identifying strategic partners to maintain cost efficiency
