We are delighted to share a new opportunity within our Customer department. We are looking for a Campaign Assistant to join the Food & Local Campaigns team or Seasonal Campaigns team within Marketing Communications.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving and busy team, creating and delivering well branded and emotionally engaging campaigns that showcase the amazing Tesco food and other seasonally relevant products.

This role is perfect for someone who is creative, organised, and works collaboratively with others, but, most importantly, someone who has a passion for understanding Britain’s shoppers, for food retail and brilliant marketing.

You will be responsible for

  • Supporting the Campaign Manager to deliver award-winning Food Love Stories, Christmas and other food and local campaigns that reach millions.
  • Working with our strategic and creative agency, BBH, to develop comms against a brief and objectives.
  • Partnering with our Media Planning team to design engaging and innovative media plans.
  • Briefing and managing our Channel teams from In-Store to Content to translate a campaign through-the-line
  • Ensuring cohesion and alignment across paid, owned and earned channels.
  • Collaborating with our Insight team to set objectives and measure campaign success and driving improvements.
  • End-to-end management of smaller campaigns, like Branded Food Love Stories, Halloween, and/or whole parts of larger campaigns.
  • Supporting with general campaign management, including briefs, briefings, meetings, and just generally helping the team.
  • Staying up to date with food campaigns and retail industry news to keep us on the front foot.

You will need

  • A passion for food and creating excellent customer comms
  • A creative, curious, and thinking mind
  • The ability to translate insight into action and a business proposition into a simple and compelling comms brief
  • An eye for creative and a strategic brain
  • Excellent communications skills
  • A collaborative approach to working with agencies and stakeholders
  • Experience developing customer comms, preferably in multiple channels
  • The ability and energy to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience managing projects and the ability to multi-task and prioritise
