About the role

At Tesco, we believe in the power of spending more time together, face to face, than apart. So, during your working week, you can expect to spend 60% of your time in one of our office locations or local sites and the rest remotely. We also recognise that life looks a little different for each of us. Some people are at the start of their careers, some want the freedom to do the things they love. Others are going through life-changing moments like becoming a carer, nearing retirement, adapting to parenthood, or something else. That’s why at Tesco, we always welcome a conversation about flexible working. So, talk to us throughout your application about how we can support.

You will be part of the team that crafts and implements Tesco’s pricing strategy. Working with the commercial teams, you will build price policies, manage competitiveness, create actionable insights, and develop better pricing tools. The role sits at the heart of Tesco, and it is instrumental in delivering value for customers and our business.

  • Translate the price strategy, framework, and pricing policies into clear and actionable recommendations by channel for approval and implementation
  • Work closely with the commercial teams to ensure our pricing recommendations are aligned with our commercial strategy and implemented efficiently
  • Collaborating with teams across the wider business, including Category, Insight and Channel specialists, to identify current/potential opportunities and develop the right solutions for our customers and our business
  • Performing ad hoc research and analyses to diagnose recent performance and operational issues
  • Balancing and prioritising work across short-term projects and long-term initiatives
  • Staying up to date on relevant industry regulations, competitor news and standard methodologies
  • Acting as a leader with vision on pricing and related topics, representing the team throughout Tesco

You will need
