Job Description

Job Summary

Our key strategy is to grow our online business in our International markets. As part of this strategy we are looking at offering customers new propositions, optimise the digital experience and gain market share in CE markets.

The Product Manager for Tesco CE (product: International Grocery Home Shopping) is a role for a data driven and customer focused heavy hitter. You must deliver and collaborate on building customer experience that would make it a reason to shop online more (often) with Tesco. In this role you will be continuously improving and enhancing all digital features that help customers with their orders.
In this role, you will deliver to UK, CE and Ireland as well.

You will drive product strategy, roadmap, execution and optimisation of capabilities and features within wide spectrum of shopping experience. You will be empowered to work in a collaborative and iterative manner with dedicated engineers, designers, analysts, and researchers as well as very closely cooperate with other teams responsible for specific parts of customers journey/experience.

As the Product Manager, reporting to the Lead Product Manager, you will interface with all tiers of the organisation.

The team in this space will be senior, with a view to influence and collaborate with other teams where needed. 
You will set OKRs that ladder up to company level goals and empower your team to achieve them. You will also be working closely with marketing and operational trading and content teams to adapt and communicate processes.

In this job, you will:

  • Have accountability for a large and complex product domain, and execute on product strategy, roadmap and delivery.
  • Understand customers pain points, steer product in the right direction by prioritising solutions, optimise customer experience to meet product Objectives & Key Results.
  • Collaborate with Product mangers in other teams to sequence backlog, Research, UX, Engineering and build a product which drives new behaviours of grocery online and benefit from additional platform features.
  • Creating product backlog, being part of all sprint ceremonies, ensuring engineering teams are successful in delivering the committed deliverables, proactively flagging any risks or delays in commitments by working with myself and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with business to understand future demand, proposing new ideas which can quickly be iterated and optimise to generate value.
  • Manage and maintain a healthy backlog at a solid level of product maturity
  • Proactively partner with my peers and senior stakeholders to set the future direction of my product as part of the wider business strategy.
  • Contribute in capability and capacity checks for Product Management to provide clarity and stability over bigger programs initiatives.
  • Constantly analyse customer feedback and data to influence future iterations.

Qualifications

  • You need to have min. 3 years of experience as a Product Manager.
  • Your experience should span web and app and prove your ability to think beyond individual features to optimise the broader customer experience and business positioning.
  • Your stakeholder management experience and communication skills will be key as you balance the needs of customer segments and business areas.
  • You will need to wisely combine your vision with qualitative and quantitative research to lead the market in the long term while iteratively delivering value to our customers and the business.
  • Your team will evolve with the product area and rely on your strong leadership through both discovery and delivery at a high pace.
