Business Partnering
Working as a business partner is all about working alongside and supporting a business function. You act as a co-pilot to the business leaders providing them with financial information and analysis, who challenges their thinking and who helps them make the right decision for the business strategy.
Financial Planning & Analysis
FP&A provides information both internally & externally, and is used by the most senior people in the business to make decisions that affect the company as a whole. You will struggle to find another team at Tesco where that is more applicable & have the exposure & responsibility to go with it.
Treasury
Our Treasury team have a broad exposure to Tesco through active business partnering with all departments globally, our function work in the billions not millions & influence across a FTSE 100 company.
Tax
We help Protect Tesco, ensuring our businesses comply with tax laws around the world & Generate value for Tesco by ensuring the group pays the right amount of tax, at the right time. Although Tax is a specialist centre of excellence within Finance, it offers real breadth of experience with many business decisions having tax consequences.
Investor Relations
We manage the relationship between Tesco & our shareholders. Our role is to clearly communicate Tesco’s strategy & help investors & city analysts understand how we create value. Investor Relations gives you a broad understanding of the whole Tesco business & strategy, great exposure to senior stakeholders & no two days are the same.
Internal Audit
Our purpose is to act as an independent review function who analyse & add value to internal processes right across our business. The skills you learn as an auditor are transferrable & colleagues have transferred in and out from finance & non-finance functions including Technology, Legal & Group Security, Safety & Resilience (GSSR)
