If you join our stores family you could work in one that’s close to you. From smaller convenience to large superstores, there are lots of opportunities that can fit around you and your lifestyle.
Our smallest shops are called Tesco Express and were launched in 1994 – they offer great value and quality, bringing fresh food as close as possible to home and work. So whether it’s a lunch time snack or a last minute dinner decision, our Express sites will have solutions on hand and what’s even better is our customers can complete their shopping trip in under 5 minutes.
We launched our first Metro Store in Covent Garden, London in 1992 – these stores offer the ease of local neighbourhood shopping mainly in city centre locations. They offer a great range of quality food and a small selection of non-food - providing a convenient shopping experience all under one roof.
We designed our Superstores for regular one stop shops or for daily shopping trips, this is the most established of our store types. There is a fantastic range of food, as well as other goods and services - giving customers real choice and value. Most of our Superstores have an Instore Bakery and nothing beats the smell of fresh bread on an early morning shopping trip.
Our Extras are our largest shops – they really are a destination shopping experience. They offer the greatest choice of products ranging from daily essentials to electrical and home wear. Even though there is around 30,000 products on their shelves at any one time - quality and service is never compromised.
We offer all kinds of great benefits. From a retirement savings plan to our colleague discount (10% discount after six months' service), there’s lots to gained by being part of the Tesco team.
Since we introduced our Tesco values over 10 years ago, they have become a key part of our culture, growth and success. They influence how we work together and make sure that customers are at the centre of what we do. Our three values guide how we offer brilliant little differences for customers, colleagues and communities.
All of this makes for a culture where you'll feel respected, trusted and empowered to do your best for our customers. In return, you can count on your hard work to be recognised and rewarded. And you'll have the freedom and support to develop your career in a way that best suits you.
Equality, diversity and inclusion are really important to us at Tesco. We aim to build great teams that reflect our local communities, so we can provide the best possible service to our customers. And that means recruiting people from the widest possible talent pool. Put simply, everyone is welcome at Tesco.
In a business full of varied opportunities, you'll have everything you need to create a career path that meets your own personal goals and aspirations.
