Litigation and Investigations Paralegal - 6 month FTC

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced paralegal to join a dedicated team working on a range of regulatory matters across the Group and within the UK!

You will gain exposure to a huge variety of business areas, including Product, Customer and Channels as well as supporting our international teams. This role will initially be 6 month FTC.

Your will support our Senior Litigation Counsel with the following key responsibilities:

• Supporting our Group People Safety and Group Quality teams in response to material health and safety incidents, enforcement actions and regulatory investigations.
• Identifying and liaising with relevant business units in response to factual enquiries and lines of investigation. Ensuring responses are delivered in a clear and timely fashion.
• Liaising with external lawyers on larger matters, supporting and responding to their requests for internal information and/or documentation.
• Drafting correspondence to support our Customer Engagement colleagues with the resolution of smaller pre-action claims in a way which reflects Tesco’s brand and values.
• Reviewing Tesco’s public disclosures and statements in respect of its environmental and sustainability actions, against the background of increased ESG regulation and case law.
• Drafting updates to key stakeholders in respect of the latest factual and procedural developments.

• An experienced paralegal with a minimum of 3 years experience, including a variety of civil litigation experience across the various pre-trial phases of a civil claim.  
• Some experience of environmental health/health & safety enforcement actions would be useful, but not essential.
• Able to multi task efficiently and work to deadlines 
• A readiness to work on a broad range of matters and develop your knowledge of the business quickly.
