Insight Executive - Brand

The Insight team’s mission is to act as the voice of the Customer and influence Tesco to make confident decisions that aligns with Customer wants and needs. Our key priorities are setting the customer agenda, commercialising insight, business partnering internally and externally, storytelling and democratising insight.

In this role you will play a key part in evolving the Tesco brand. By delivering clear insights and actionable recommendations, you will help evolve and grow our master brand and customer facing propositions, ensuring we achieve our targets. You will also use insight and foresight to identify new opportunities to evolve customer perception of Tesco.

• Interpreting brand tracking & research to tell compelling stories, sharing this across the business, through face-to-face and virtual presentations, to deliver practical recommendations.
• Managing brand research and analytics requests, providing clear and focused briefs to agency partners. Ensuring those projects deliver against requirements, on time and on budget, and key messages land with impact.
• Connecting multiple data sets of varying types (research, behavioural, panel, economic, market context) to support the creation of insight about our brand, customers & competitors that we can act on.
• Delivering fast turnaround brand insight & analysis, using multiple data sets to create high quality data visualisation & written content for senior colleagues
• Managing the Tesco brand tracking questionnaire, accountable for ensuring questions match Tesco’s changing business needs, signing off the survey each period.
• Leading the quarterly brand story presentation, working with our agency partners and presenting to large groups of colleagues
• Writing a periodic summary of insight from the Tesco Brand Tracker to outline key headlines and drivers of change, for senior leadership.

• A passion for evolving major brands and a curiosity for understanding customers brand perceptions.
• Ability to consolidate multiple sources of data and insight to create clear and succinct presentations using data visualisation and storytelling.
• Ability to analyse and interpret data from different sources.
• A number of years’ experience in an insight function, agency or as a recipient of Insight content (e.g. Brand Manager, Planner, Marketing Exec, Category Lead).
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once across multiple agencies and stages.
• Good understanding of different insight approaches and tools.
