About the role

We have an excellent opportunity as a Stocktake Manager within Business Support and stores to support the delivery of streams of work designed to support and improve stores ensuring we always serve customers, communities and the planet a little better everyday.

We are looking for someone to go above and beyond, making a difference to customers and colleagues and your team. This role is expected to start week commencing 12th February 2024.

You will be responsible for

  • Lead a team to complete stock takes in Tesco stores to a high standard, ensuring that great service is delivered consistently across the business
  • Be organised and a great communicator with leadership skills to empower those around you
  • Show energy and resilience to keep momentum going when working in challenging and constantly evolving environments
  • Be known as the guide on the process, and making yourself accessible for stores to contact you for mentorship and advice
  • Effective decision making, ensuring that customers and colleagues are at the heart of every decision
  • The safety of colleagues is a priority, and you will ensure your team are always operating in a safe place to work
  • Develop and mentor your team giving all colleagues the opportunity to be at their best
  • Being the point of contact for partner concerns, tracking and resolving all issues in an effective and timely manner
  • Able to interpret numerical data quickly and effectively
  • Reviewing data optimally to handle the stocktake operation, identifying risk and performance improvement opportunities
  • Ensuring that all counts are completed to accurate specification and audit requirements, taking action to ensure any process or count integrity issues highlighted are resolved quickly
  • Reviewing team performance, celebrating success and encouraging excellent performance through everyday conversations
  • Capable of developing practical solutions quickly to a varying set of problems
  • Building good, caring, relationships, inside and outside their team
  • Ability to perform count stock accurately and quickly
  • Following our business code of conduct and always acting with integrity/due diligence.

You will need

  • Planning & organising
  • Experience of leading a team
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Ability and motivation to work night shifts regularly
  • Ability to travel to different stores each night
  • Experience of stock control within a store environment
  • Self motivated and eager to learn
