About the role

This role presents a fantastic opportunity to be right at the heart of growth at Tesco. You will get the opportunity to work alongside and be part of an ambitious leadership team, who are looking to shape the future of Online grocery for the next decade. You will get to experience the launch of new businesses and the maturity of others, whilst running the FP&A processes for a GHS business turning over c£6bn per annum. Partnering the Online Leadership team and Finance Growth Director, you will deliver accurate, timely and insightful finance analysis to drive the businesses performance forward.

You will be responsible for

  • Leading a finance graduate in the UK and a team of 3 in another country to deliver period end reporting, forecasting and basket economics reporting on a fully costed P&L. Ensuring the team deliver timely, insightful and accurate information
  • Standing over the annual planning processes for the Online Finance team, (Budget & LTP), ensuring a clear, ambitious and robust plan is in place. Maintaining a positive relationship with UKCF and Investor relations to support with external reporting requirements
  • Through the wealth of financial data available, lead the FP&A team to independently identify areas of opportunity, develop actionable recommendations and build a suite of insight to enable the business to make informed decisions
  • Collaborating, challenging and influencing a large number of senior finance and non-finance colleagues to ensure the online business is in a strong position to deliver its north star objectives over the coming years
  • Leading with a growth mindset and working in an agile environment. Building trusted and harmonious relationships with other weekly reporting teams and partake in the Business Performance Centre of Excellence alongside a group of Performance Analysts
  • Supporting the development of the team across geographies to build a successful team

You will need

  • Accountancy qualification - CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent
  • Experience partnering with senior colleagues (Directors and above) to engage them and gain their confidence
  • Broad understanding of our business and industry, with FMCG experience desirable
  • Ability to simplify complex problems, manipulate data accurately and relate to the business context
  • Independent & organised but seeks help when needed
  • Experience mentoring and developing others desirable
