Tesco is one of Europe’s largest retailers and accepts over 2.5 billion customer payments per year. Our product vision is to make payment a reason for customers to shop more of Tesco, more often. The Product Manager will drive strategy and day-to-day execution of payment acceptance at the UK’s largest retailer. The Product Manager will be a domain expert at Tesco for customer payments taken instore, traversing partner and team boundaries, managing trade-offs, and able to collaborative confidently with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Our Payment product development teams are responsible for payment experience and processing for all Tesco markets globally. Our products are helpful, efficient, safe, and rewarding.
Our portfolio of payment products include card payment readers and cash acceptance instore, digital checkouts, payment gateways, payment history, and our Tesco wallet. We enable innovation as part of a Tesco Technology Retail Platform.
The Product Manager is empowered to deliver with speed and impact. They will initiate product discovery and identify opportunities to deliver increments that are desirable for customers and colleagues, technically feasible, and viable for the Tesco business.
They will be obsessive about the role of payments play in customers’ lives and how payments impact customers’ overall experience with Tesco. They will combine market, internal and customer perspectives, to create the insights, strategies and roadmaps that focus their team on the most important problems to solve for Tesco customers and colleagues.
The Payment product development team are a cross functional Agile team of engineers, product managers and programme managers, based within Tesco Technology. We work from office locations in the United Kingdom (London and Welwyn Garden City), India (Bengaluru) and Hungary (Budapest).
