About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Manager to join the team. Your role will be very varied, with part of your time spent business partnering supply chain on end to end business initiatives, and the rest of time spent working on projects to support our commercial colleagues across Fresh, Packaged and Non-Food. You will need to be comfortable working in an agile way (with each week being very different to the next) in order to maximise the value you deliver for the business.

You will be responsible for

  • Advise, challenge and inform our supply chain colleagues to reduce cost of waste and deliver against our targets
  • Business partner our end to end team, ensuring the delivery of projects across the business. Not only will you need to partner our colleagues in supply chain, but work with finance and non-finance colleagues in commercial and channels, to ensure we unlock the maximum value
  • Adhoc work and projects that support our commercial leadership team deliver against targets. This could be anything from a piece of work on promotions, price index, and our Express business, to supplier economics and more

You will need

  • Accounting qualification - ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
  • Finance experience in driving strategic priorities in large complex organisations
  • Experience of engaging and working with senior colleagues
  • Highly evolved financial analysis skills, and experience dealing with large quantities of data and turning it into insight/actions
