About the role

This is an exciting time to join the Technology Change team as the Lead Programme Manager for the Range Transformation Programme. 

We have an ambitious vision for the how we plan and merchandise product ranges for our customers in the future across the Tesco Group.

Working collaboratively with Technology Product, Commercial Space Range and Merchandising (SRM), and our data science partners at Dunnhumby, you will lead how we translate the Vision and Strategy into tangible, Agile Delivery. Using superb holistic thinking skills you’ll own the Programme narrative and create a clear picture of all transformation work within the SRM world. You will be the face of our Programme to our Senior (Director and Exec-level) stakeholders and will manage effective Governance to drive this multi-year Programme forward.

You will be responsible for

  • Contributing to the programe vision, strategy and long-term roadmap.
  • Defining and agreeing strategic goals and vision for each project.
  • Managing complex change in an organised and structured manner.
  • Managing stakeholder engagement cross functionally and across all levels in the business to ensure programme priorities are aligned across the relevant business plans and are well sponsored.
  • Owning the communication process to support the project, ensuring creativity, clear, concise and timely communication relevant to target audience.
  • Creating simple and effective methods to demonstrate the end to end benefits or impacts of projects within the programme and aligning stakeholders around them.
  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence.
  • Providing holistic thinking across the programme; identifying dependancies between projects and managing programme level risks and issues.
  • Managing stakeholder communication and engagement at all levels.
  • Establishing and running effective governance across all business units and at all levels.
  • Embedding sustainable change across multiple functions.

You will need

  • Experience of defining and delivering complex programmes and projects
  • Experience of delivering sustainable change and embedding new ways of working across broad groups of stakeholders
  • The ability to build strong working relationships with peers, stakeholders, and teams across the business. Able to leverage these relationships to build consensus and drive alignment
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and listening)
