The Tesco Level 2 Apprenticeship programme is an opportunity for people to gain a nationally recognised qualification accredited by City & Guilds.
The programme, which takes 9 months to complete, will help to improve Maths and English skills, broaden your knowledge of different areas of a store and give you an opportunity to earn while you learn.
We have programmes in many areas of a store; from Service and Replenishment to Bakery, Deli and Fish & Meat.
The Apprenticeship programme is made up of three parts:
The Qualifications Curriculum Framework is the modern day replacement for NVQ's. An Apprenticeship QCF folder will be given to you at the start of your programme. The folder contains several workbooks each on a different subject. You will be assessed on your performance and be observed putting the knowledge you have learnt into practice.
There are two Key Skills that you will need to complete for your Apprenticeship; one in Application of Number, one in Communication. You can complete these Key Skills either at Level 1 or 2.
Key Skills will help develop your Maths and English which will help you both at work and at home.
The Technical Certificate in Retail is a test that you'll take under exam conditions. It tests the theoretical understanding of the retail business that you will have gained during your role in store and also having worked through your QCF folder.
To be eligible to qualify for the scheme, you must:
