Pharmacy Manager/Duty Pharmacy Manager

We’re looking for people who want to make a difference, by bringing our culture of customer service to life in every Tesco Pharmacy. There are two roles available within our team, Pharmacy Manager and the supporting role of Duty Pharmacy Manager.

Working in our Pharmacy team means being warm and welcoming with our colleagues and customers, creating the right team spirit and building relationships beyond the store.

You will provide regular training and make sure that our colleagues know their products and understand legal requirements. Building those working relationships with primary care organisations and surgeries will be a really important aspect of working in our Pharmacy team.

If you want to get on in your pharmacy career, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.

You’ll need a Pharmacy degree, Medicines Use Review (MUR) certification (for roles in England and Wales) and membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council. You’ll also need to meet government requirements for working with vulnerable groups, including an Enhanced Criminal Records check by the Disclosure and Barring Service, or Disclosure Scotland for roles based in Scotland.

Working in Tesco Pharmacy

When our customers asked for the convenience of in-store pharmacies, we made it happen, opening hundreds of them across our stores nationwide.

Our Pharmacies are equipped to the highest standards and include a consultation area. They offer our customers the personal touch of a community pharmacy with the added convenience of being in a Tesco store.

Expect a little more

We offer all kinds of great benefits. From a retirement savings plan to our colleague discount (10% discount after six months' service), there’s lots to gained by being part of the Tesco team.

Since we introduced our Tesco values over 10 years ago, they have become a key part of our culture, growth and success. They influence how we work together and make sure that customers are at the centre of what we do. Our three values guide how we offer brilliant little differences for customers, colleagues and communities.

  • No one tries harder for customers
  • We treat everyone how they want to be treated
  • Every little help makes a big difference

All of this makes for a culture where you'll feel respected, trusted and empowered to do your best for our customers. In return, you can count on your hard work to be recognised and rewarded. And you'll have the freedom and support to develop your career in a way that best suits you.

Equality, diversity and inclusion are really important to us at Tesco. We aim to build great teams that reflect our local communities, so we can provide the best possible service to our customers. And that means recruiting people from the widest possible talent pool. Put simply, everyone is welcome at Tesco.

In a business full of varied opportunities, you'll have everything you need to create a career path that meets your own personal goals and aspirations.
